Someone has been sending emails to our leaders and congregations that fraudulently claim to be coming from GC President Loren Stacy, Executive Director Jody McCoy, Southwest District Superintendent Chip Hinds, or perhaps other leaders. These emails ask the recipient to send gift cards to the sender.
Please do not fall for this scam! GC leaders do not ask for donations that do not go through a local congregation, a district, the GC, or a GC ministry. If you should receive such an email, do not send money, gift cards, or anything else of value. Just delete it.
