1943 – 2025
Horatio Daniel Coulson, age 81, of Coopersville, Michigan, went to sleep in Christ on April 8. He was born August 5, 1943.
Dan enjoyed studying the Bible. After graduating high school from Spring Vale Academy, he went to Midwest Bible College. He was a licensed minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Church of God (Seventh Day). He pastored in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Michigan.
Dan loved telling dad jokes and talking with people, and he enjoyed spending time outside cutting wood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Anna Coulson; brothers Edwin, Ben, Wesley; sister Carrie Hassen; and granddaughter Courtney Coulson.
Dan is lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy; children Moses Nathan (Barbara) Coulson, Richard (Christi) Keely, and Paul (Rebecca) Coulson; stepdaughters, Michelle (Daniel) Watters, Melissa (Joel) Velasquez, and Melinda (Trevor) Gerber. Affectionately known as Chee Chaw to his grandchildren Aaron (Bethany) Coulson, Mitchal (Kayleigh) Coulson, Isaac (Caroline) Coulson, Patience Coulson, Cammie Coulson, Laryssa Keely, Melanee Keely, Mathias Watters, Malachi Gerber, Emma Gerber, Josiah Gerber; and ten great-grandchildren, with one on the way; brothers, Dick and Ned Coulson.
