On July 24-26, children’s director Irma Mendoza and the Mount Pleasant church hosted a Vacation Bible School. The week before was emotional as we eagerly awaited the arrival of the books from Mexico. When they arrived, we got to work. Despite the exhausting task, willing hands and hearts made it satisfying to see everything come together.

VBS exceeded our expectations, bringing glory to God. We had prayer, praise, crafts, and games. Food was provided through donations. We were moved to see children pray and sing as the gospel seed was planted in their hearts.

This year’s VBS was special, with young people involved in decorating and teaching. We’re a small church, but we’re seeing progress in the kingdom’s work. VBS will remain in the children’s memories as they return to school.
